Phenomenal sevice and atmosphere. If you are an Artsy person you will fall in love with this place. I recommend that you check it out, but don't just check it out... Make sure you add to the environment by bringing good vibes only!!! This place Is a hidden gem!

Such a wonderful place! U really leave Detroit when you walk in here! Very much royal oak or ferndale or Birmingham vibes! Chill and peaceful and nice coffee! Happy to find this place! Did not get any food but the GIANT peanut butter cookies next to the register were looking at me HARD! 😂❤️

The atmosphere and internal design of the place was pretty cozy and highlighted the community really well. Eric’s a great guy, and the food was a solid 10/10. If you want a nice spot in Detroit to get something to eat, Motor City Java House is the place to go!

Amazing atmosphere! Coffee was awesome! Couldn’t recommend a better place for coffee and a sweet treat. Got a pound cake to go and it was the best pound cake I have ever had. Service was great also, if you haven’t been 10-10 recommend stopping in!

We are out of towners that google searched a coffee shop nearby, we are glad we tried this one out. We were greeted with a smile & kindness. Great coffee! Love the paintings and art on the walls and the outdoor patio/seating space. Next time we visit Detroit we will definitely stop back in for a coffee!

Amazing gem of the city! A beautiful meeting space with amazing art, wonderful people, and an awesome place to volunteer on the weekends with blight busters! Eric is awesome and a super nice barista as well.

Our sorority recently hosted an event at Motor City Java House, which included a talk and tour with owner Alicia George. The coffee house, which has many spaces to host small and large scale events, is charming and inviting. Ms. Alicia and her team made us feel right at home. I enjoyed my coffee, well I had two, and took home a variety of baked goods. I highly recommend visiting. We loved it so much that we are booking another event!
